If you purchased the Return Cleaning Service, you’re all set — no additional cleaning needed. If you did not purchase the service, please follow the cleaning steps below to return your unit in storage-ready condition and avoid the $50 cleaning fee.

⚠️ Important Cleaning Warning: Never use bleach or harsh chemical cleaners. These products can permanently damage the unit’s gaskets, surfaces, and exterior finish. Use only mild cleaning solutions, disinfecting wipes, or warm soapy water.

Pre-Cleaning Requirement: The rental must be unplugged, fully defrosted, and completely dried before beginning any of the cleaning steps below.

Fridge Cleaning Steps

1. Remove and clean each shelf thoroughly using cleaning or disinfecting wipes or warm soapy water, including the underside. Keep aside until the remaining fridge steps are complete.
2. Clean all interior walls, including the back panel, side walls, ceiling, and floor, using cleaning or disinfecting wipes or warm soapy water, removing spills and residue.
3. Wipe all door door bars, racks, holders, and interior door panels, cleaning ridges, grooves, and edges where grime collects.
4. Clean all fridge door gaskets and seals thoroughly using disinfecting wipes, removing crumbs, residue, and buildup.
5. Completely dry all walls, panels, shelves, gaskets, and grooves, and re-install any parts that were removed during cleaning.

Freezer Cleaning Steps

1. Clean all interior freezer walls — back, sides, ceiling, corners, and base using cleaning or disinfecting wipes or warm soapy water.
2. Clean the interior of the freezer door, door bars, and all shelving areas.
3. Clean freezer gaskets and seals using disinfecting wipes to remove frost residue, crumbs, and buildup.
4. Dry all freezer surfaces completely to prevent moisture-related issues during storage, and return parts if any were removed during cleaning.

Microwave Cleaning Steps

1. Clean the microwave interior walls, ceiling, floor, and corners using cleaning or disinfecting wipes, removing all splatter and residue. Tip: If there are particularly stubborn residues, heat a cup of water for 3 minutes to loosen debris inside the microwave.
2. Clean the microwave turntable and support ring separately using cleaning wipes or warm soapy water, then dry fully before reinstalling.
3. Clean the microwave door interior and glass thoroughly, including the perimeter frame.
4. Clean the vent area and all small crevices around the door latch and edges.

Exterior Cleaning Steps

Note: Use very mild, non-abrasive cleaning products on the exterior of the unit and avoid harsh chemicals.

1. Clean the control panel, keypad, exterior sides, and top of the microwave using a damp cloth
2. Wipe down the entire exterior of the fridge-microwave combo using a damp cloth, including the front, sides, and top surface. Remove fingerprints, dust, and smudges.
3. Clean around all edges, seams, and trim pieces where dust and residue collect throughout the year. Pay special attention to the top edge under the microwave.
4. Wipe the front handles and any textured areas thoroughly to remove built-up grime
5. Inspect the power cord and plug area; wipe down the cord from top to bottom to remove dust and debris.
6. Clean underneath the front lip of the unit (just above floor level), where dirt commonly builds up from the room environment.

Final Steps

1. Ensure all cleaned components are fully dry before reinstalling.
2. Leave both fridge and freezer doors open to maintain ventilation.
